Birthday Eating Part One – Serendipitea

For my birthday, I declared a day off from work.  And so, my mom and I decided to go off on an Abbotsford adventure for….afternoon tea of course.

Bottom Tier – Tuna Salad, Egg Salad, Turkey on Cranberry, Ham and Cheddar on Rye, and Classic Cucumber.

Middle Tier – Chocolate Dipped Strawberries, Passion Fruit and Pistachio Macarons, Pecan Tarts, Brownies.

Top Tier – Assorted Scones

By no means I can say that this was my favorite spot for tea, but it was definitely a cute tea shoppe.  Having been used to just walking into a hotel or tea shoppe for afternoon tea without reservations, I was a little surprised that tea shoppes in Abbotsford will not serve afternoon tea without prior arrangement.

Serendiptea is a rather cute, rather feminine establishment.  And apparently, it’s also a spot for first dates…while I was there, I got to witness or rather, people-watched two young teens staring awkwardly at each other over pots of tea.  Oh young love.
